New on Aliensense

Partnership with Madari Space

Madari Space, an innovative space technology startup, and Aliensense, a developer of autonomous sensing systems, today announced a partnership to transform space-based data processing and storage.

Under this partnership, Aliensense will develop advanced space-grade visual systems for Madari Space's satellite data centers. These systems will enable crucial functions such as debris avoidance, cataloging, visual positioning, and technical data collection.

Madari Space’s orbital data centers aim to meet the demand for sustainable data storage while reducing the environmental impact of terrestrial facilities. Located in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), these centers will offer energy-efficient computing, reduced latency, improved data access, with an option to use secure blockchain-based storage.

Shareef Al Romaithi, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of Madari Space, highlighted the potential impact of this collaboration: “Our space-based data centers have enormous potential to transform how we store and process data globally. With Aliensense's advanced visual systems, we can enhance the security and reliability of our orbital infrastructure. These devices will significantly enhance data collection and processing in space, offering new solutions for industrial customers.”

Alex Lapir, Co-founder of Aliensense, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “Space-centric data processing is the future of managing global data growth. We are excited to contribute our expertise in visual systems to Madari Space's project, This collaboration allows us to apply our edge computing solutions to the unique challenges of the space environment, potentially reducing data latency and improving the overall efficiency of operations”.

Fatima AlShamsi, Director of Space Policies and International Relations Department at the UAE Space Agency, mentioned: “The UAE Space Agency welcomes the Aliensense-Madari Space collaboration as validation of our efforts to cultivate advanced space technology development. Through establishing regulatory frameworks and startup ecosystems, the Agency enables pioneering commercial partnerships like this to drive innovation in the sector”.

Both Aliensense and Madari Space are part of the UAE Space Agency’s Space Economic Zones program and work closely with the Agency, creating opportunities for space exploration and supporting the UAE's vision for a knowledge-based economy and an ambitious space program.
